Why We Started
The founder ran a small roofing crew. He'd call three different companies just to find a toilet that would show up. Half the time the unit was older than his truck. He built Scottsdale Porta Pros to be the operator he wished he could call, same-day delivery when you need it, service visits that actually happen on the scheduled day, and equipment that works the first time. Twenty-three years later that's still the idea.
Our crew knows Scottsdale's neighborhoods. We understand the space constraints on jobs near Carefree and Paradise Valley. We've pumped septic tanks in every part of the city. A residential septic tank is typically pumped every 3 to 5 years, driven by tank size and household size, and we can guide you on how often to pump based on your situation. We show up early, finish on time, and haul everything away ourselves.
What We Rent
A standard unit holds 60 to 70 gallons and measures about 44 by 48 inches on the ground. It fits the back of most lots. For jobs with a dozen workers or fewer, that's the baseline, rent it by the day, week or month and we service it once a week. Construction sites with 20 or fewer workers need 1 toilet facility under OSHA 1926.51(c)(1), which most crews meet with a single standard porta potty unit.
Heavy-use jobs need more. Event sites rent deluxe units with flushable toilets and interior hand soap. We deliver 2-stall, 4-stall and 8-stall restroom trailers to film sets and festivals. Roll-off dumpsters range from 10 to 40 yards. Most Scottsdale renovation jobs use a 20-yard dumpster. They need about 60 feet of straight clearance behind the truck to set down. Storage containers rent long-term for tools, materials and equipment, a 20ft storage container holds what a small garage does. Temporary fence protects excavation sites and controls foot traffic. We also stock handwashing stations that meet 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2), which require soap and towels, hand sanitizer alone doesn't satisfy the rule.
How We Operate
Scottsdale Porta Pros maintains every unit in-house. We don't rent used equipment from other companies. Every toilet gets a deep clean before it goes out. Delivery happens between 7 and 5, usually the day you call. Emergency calls after hours are routed to our night manager, describe the problem and we get a unit to you. Weekend delivery runs as an extra service if a job starts Saturday.
We service weekly under the baseline interval for construction. Heavy events get multiple visits per week, see our event restroom rental details for service schedules. Septic pumping pulls grease, solids and buildup, a grease interceptor is pumped when fats, oils, grease and solids reach 25 percent of the liquid depth. We handle all of it. Our pumper trucks carry 2,500 gallons and can handle residential tanks, commercial grease traps and holding tanks on remote jobs.
Placement in public rights of way needs confirming with the city before delivery. We'll help you figure out whether you need a permit. Call or request a quote and mention the location. For jobs in Anthem or Rio Verde, we service those too, Anthem is 29.2 miles northwest of central Scottsdale and Rio Verde runs 20.2 miles east. Delivery fees apply to those routes, but we don't turn down the work.
How do I request a quote?
Call us or fill out the quote form on our request a quote page. Give your address in Scottsdale, your job type, the number of workers or guests, and the start date. We'll confirm availability, quote delivery and weekly service, and send a one-page contract. Most quotes come back in four hours.
Do you rent for events?
Yes. We handle wedding restrooms, festival restroom rentals, concert restrooms and corporate events. Event restrooms are deluxe units with flushing toilets and interior soap. We pick a setup that fits your guest count and space. See event restroom rental for details and pricing.
What if the weather is bad?
We operate year-round. Equipment works in cold and heat. Portable toilets don't freeze in Arizona winters. If it rains, we still show up on schedule. We don't cancel service for weather.
Can I rent a unit for one day?
Yes. Daily rates are higher than weekly, but if you need coverage for a single day, a festival booth, an emergency, a last-minute event, we'll rent it. Most jobs rent by the week and save money that way.
What's the difference between standard and deluxe?
Standard porta potty units have a pedal flush, a seat cover dispenser and an exterior hand wash jug. Deluxe units have an interior flushable toilet, hand soap and a mirror. They feel more like a real bathroom, and guests prefer them at weddings and festivals.
